| Local Mayors and Lee County Probate Judge have declared
September 30-October 6, 2007 as Mental Illness Awareness Week in
Auburn, Opelika, and Lee Counties. At the proclamation signing
are seated L-R, Dick Phelan, Auburn Mayor Pro Tem; and John
Seymour, Opelika City Administrator, Standing L-R are Harold
Williford, Opelika Career Center; Stan Hollingsworth NAMI East
Alabama; Anne Penney, East Alabama Mental Health Center; Sylvia
Richey, Family and Consumer Council, and David Patterson,
Vocational Rehabilitation Service. The public is invited to a
Candlelight Service to celebrate recovery from Mental Illness on
October 2, 2007 at Founder’s Chapel of Auburn United Methodist
Church at 7:00 p.m. |
